How we created a data-driven growth strategy for an ecommerce website
Challenge:
Weavesmart was started as an effort to bring weavers together with their buyers, and reduce the distance created by the big city middlemen. They were able to create a personalized shopping experience between craftsman and consumer. However, they were relying on word of mouth, social media posts, and SEO alone to grow their market sales. Trying their hand at digital sales provided little growth, and they realized to continue supporting weavers, they needed a proven strategy.
Solution:
After discussing the hurdles with him, Shashank found the strategy to determine what was working for growth, and where they needed to improve. An audit of existing digital assets and marketing strategy helped create a retargeted effort to bring back previous website visitors as well as attract new ones. The strategy included their website traffic data, user satisfaction, and competitor analysis, and culminated in a profile for ideal buyers. With this data in hand, he was able to post, manage, and monitor social media ads which garnered major revenues! Growing the platform to bring weavers into personal connections with their buyers enabled Weavesmart to open more offices in identified clusters across India.
